Which of Netgear's various AC1900 devices is this?
What interface are you using to get into it? Browser? Desktop app?

My modem/router is the AC1900 C700 100NAS.
I have tried using both Chrome and Explorer browsers. In the Chrome browser I get a "failed" notice. In the Explorer browser I get a "certificate expired and failed" notice. There is an instruction to go to the "menu" to correct but no indication as to exactly "what" menu.
Very frustrating as I simply have never been able to figure out where I am screwing up.
thanks

Is this the C7000? (Note the extra 0.)
If so, did it come from your ISP? If so, these things can end up tweaked in ways that only they can understand.
I'm a bit confused by your latest message. Are you saying that you cannot access the modem's control interface? Your first message led me to believe that you had got that far.
Page 76 of the manual shows how to get there:

It is the C7000.
The error messages happen in trying to change the password using the Advanced > Administration > Change Password page.
