C3700 Firmware Update
I received an email today for a firmware update and directed me to go to routerlogin.net. When I tried to do so, I got a blank page with a box (page attached from Onedrive). Is this legitimate? I have no idea what account they're referring to as nothing I've used has worked). Then, I just went to Netgear's site, entered my router model and selected downloads. The download I selected did download but after extraction, the folder is empty. At this point, I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but probably pointless. Modern web browsers tend to complain
about sending username and password infomation through an insecure path
("http://", not "https://"), but you're actually talking to your own
router, so the threat is small.
Firmware for a cable modem(+router) is normally handled by the ISP,
not by the customer, so you probably couldn't update it in any case.
Netgear broadcasts these advisories, but they fail to mention that they
don't really apply to cable gizmos. Perhaps Netgear has made a policy
decision to annoy cable-gizmo users.

With my weak psychic powers, I can't tell what you downloaded, and
http://netgear.com/support/ seems to be having trouble today, so
exploration is also tough.

Thank you. I think I'm going to agree with you on this.
