C3700 giving random lag spikes
When using my router I notice that when I play games I will experience a lag spike once every minute or 2 that last about 3 seconds. It happens on Netflix and other streams too except it will downgrade the stream from full hd down to sd. for a bit. Is there a solution to this problem? It's almost impossible to enjoy online games when you lag out so often.

Re: C3700 giving random lag spikes
Hello ck95
what is your Internet speed? if you are connecting the devices that are getting lag spike via wireless try changing the wireless channel. Also check your cable connections to the modem a splitter could be causing issues with the modem.

Re: C3700 giving random lag spikes
My speed is 50 Mbps down. I've tried both wired and wireless connection and I still have the same problem. There is no splitter isntalled it's a straight connect to the cable port.

Re: C3700 giving random lag spikes
do you have event logs and power table values? Can you please post them here? probably you have Timeouts which are causing these spikes.
also, can you please ping 75.75.75.75 for an hour and see if you spikes?
A tool to do it better than DOS command prompt.

Re: C3700 giving random lag spikes
Your RF line seems not so good.
1. Your Upstream power is high
2. There are quite a few uncorrectables in Downstream. It means that those packets need to be dropped since they were delivered in bad condition.
