CM1000 Xfinity - Upload Speeds
Just installed the CM1000 (to wired desktop) and I have Xfinity's 250M down / 10M up. When I run the Xfinity speed test, I get about 280M / 11M. That looks great. Then I upload files via FTP or file upload in cPanel, both to four different hosting services, I consistently get about 1.4M upload speed. I don't get it... I really wanted faster upload speeds. Is it Xfinity?

Re: CM1000 Xfinity - Upload Speeds
is it 1.4MBps or 1.4 Mbps?
It might be cPanel limitation or you need to put multiple transfer threads in the FTP tool.

Re: CM1000 Xfinity - Upload Speeds
It's 1.4MB. Rookie mistake. And, now I see that speedtests are in Mb. So, that mystery solved. I am getting the upload speed that I should.
But, I'm intrigued.... "multiple transfer threads in the FTP" ? I'm using WinSCP. Is that a feature of the FTP program or modem? BTW, on Win 10.

Re: CM1000 Xfinity - Upload Speeds
yes, lot of folks forget MB vs Mb.
not sure if winSCP supports it.

you are using SFTP and not traditional FTP.
I believe Filezilla supports using FTP.
