CM1000 ethernet flashing orange

CM1000 ethernet flashing orange

So I just replaced my router and modem today and the modems ethernet led has been flashing orange all day but my router is solid green and my connection seems to be stable is there something i can try to figure out why its not green or is this normal?

What router are you connected to? 

Have you checked your cable? 

if you read the manual, if the ethernet port light is blinking, it means its passing traffic. Green is 1000mbps link rate and amber is 100mbps link rate.

AC1000 modem, i used the cable that came with the box and my internet is 300mbps thanks for the help

do you mean the R6080? Its not a gigabit router. Its 10/100mbps.  If you have 300mbps, a router upgrade would allow you to use the 300mbps speeds.
