CM1000v2 firmware update
Hello! I have been experiencing drops in my connection throughout the day - morning, noon, evening - there isn't a specific time or triggering event that I can identify. My ISP (Cox Cable - Phoenix, AZ) came out today and made adjustments to the line outside but then asked me about the modem firmware and the last time it was updated. I told the tech that I don't recall the last time it was updated - only that my router firmware is routinely updated.
After the tech I left, I searched and found this regarding modem firmware updates:
NETGEAR provides your ISP with the latest firmware and your ISP updates your firmware. If your firmware is out of date, contact your Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance. The following table displays the latest firmware versions of NETGEAR cable modems and modem routers.
I checked the reference table to see what version Cox is using for my modem
Modem | Comcast (Deployed Firmware) | Spectrum (Approved Firmware) | Cox (Approved Firmware) | All other ISPs (Production Firmware) |
CM1000v2 | V10.01.07 | V1.01.03 | V1.01.03 | V10.01.07 |
Here is what my modem shows me when I connect to it via intranet:
Hardware Version | 2.02 |
Firmware Version | V6.01.07 |
Does this mean my modem firmware is updated to the most current version? My smooth brain says V6.01.07 is WAY better than V1.01.03 as seen in the current reference table above.
TIA

Re: CM1000v2 firmware update
It is.
And I doubt it'll get any more updates based on its age.

Re: CM1000v2 firmware update
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?
