Help setting up my router
I have the modem/router connected to my PC. I also have a smart TV with a DLNA wireless adapter so that I can stream videos from my PC to my TV. I had my router up and working fine but I just had a computer crash that caused me to reload all the operating system and apps again. Now my PC is working fine, but apparently some of the router's options were changed. I have a dual router with 5 and 2.4 GHz wireless ports. I can see both of the wireless settings for the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz under the basic tab WPS wizzard. when I go to the basic lan setup, I also see both ports information. When I go to the advanced tab, I still see the information for both ports. But when I go to the basic tab under wireless devices, I only see the information for the 5GHz port, and there is nothing under the 2.4GHZ port. I need both of them inorder to get my streaming to work as I want it to. How do I get the information for the 2.4 GHz port to show and apply under the basic wireless devices? Since I don't know much about this networking stuff, I may not be explaining this very well, but in most of the tabs I see both the devices named Poetheraven1 for the 2.4 GHz port and Poetheraven12 for the 5GHz port, but as I said, under the basic tab list of wireless devices, I only see the Poetheraven12. my movies need to be streamed over the other port using the signin of Poetheraven1. But I cannot connect from my TV as long as its not listed in the router. Can someone help?
Well, its not the browser. I have been playing with this thing since yesterday. I finally reset all the options and started over again. I used the manual (which I didn't get with the router) and did the best I could. Its working now, but I really don't know what I did. I just faked it when I didn't know informtion like MAC number. Had no idea where to find it, so I just made one up, and it seems to work?? I just love Netgear products. In reading the manual I downloaded from the internet, I discovered there was supposed to be a CD or DVD with it, but I didn't get that either. And with Netgear's window to provide free assistance of 90 days, I think that really sucks!! If I ever need another one, I'm going to get one from a company that will stand behind their product and provide free assistance when someone, who is in a predicament like me, needs it. Since my PC was corrupted, I had to do a complete reinstall of everything and so whatever was there that might affect the router went too. Anyway, its working now, no thanks to Netgear.

Hello Poetheraven1
Have you tried to use another browser to see if the setting is still gone?
