Just bought AC1750, blinking power light, can't factory reset, failed firmware upgrade

I just bought this router from Walmart, I installed the Nighthawk app on my phone for "easier setup". Connected to the router via Wi-Fi with my phone, it said there was a firmware update, so I said to install it. Midway through, the router reset, and my phone would not connect to it. I used 2 other phones in the house, and they wouldn't connect to it. I used an ethernet cable to try to connect to it, but my computer couldn't see the router. I looked online, and like an idiot, I restarted the router. When I did that, I got a blinking green power light. I looked that up, and the resolution I found was to factory reset the router. I got a paper clip, held in the reset pushbutton for well over 7 seconds, and NOTHING happens at all. Should I just return it to Walmart, or is there an easy fix that I can do for this?

"AC1750" is a speed, not a model number.  Ever helpful, Netgear
product packaging emphasizes speeds like "ACxxxx", but that's not the
model identifier.  Look at the product label.

Is that accurate?  I'll assume not, because I wouldn't expect you to
be able to touch the firmware in a C6300.  "R<something>", perhaps?

Define "easy".  It sounds as if you may be a candidate for the TFTP
    recovery scheme.  See, for example:

I might not call it "easy", but many people seem to have done it.
