MAC Address Filtering By Schedule on CG3000DV2
I am trying to set up a schedule so that my son's internet is cut off at 10:30pm and then re-established the next day at 9:30am.
I have gotten as far as adding the devices to the MAC filter list and then I found out that I cannot go overnight with the times, so I would have to set up 2 schedules. However, I'm not sure that after I enter the first one from 10:30p to 11:59p and save/apply and then enter the next one at 12a to 9:30a that it doesn't overwrite.
I know you cannot add the device again to the list to create a 2nd rule.
In the netgear router i had before you could go overnight and it listed each schedule, but with this modem/router it is a little more confusing.
Also, when in chat, the person said I could put all the devices in the list and then set the rule to apply to each, but it appears that when I look at the other devices it has the default time set.

As a crude work-around to your scheduling issue, you could change the router timezone to suit. So for example if you wanted a schedule to run from 23:00 to 01:00 you could shift the router timezone by two hours and set the schedule to run from 21:00 to 23:00.
Sorry but I’m not familiar with the CG3000 so don’t have an answer to your last question.

That is a great idea, however there is no way to change the time zone/time that I can see. I had to contact Netgear to get it fixed since it wasn't reflecting the correct time zone initially. maybe I should have left it alone, figured out the difference and gone from there!

If your router is intended for use with a specific ISP then maybe the firmware is locked to the timezone of that country.
Sorry but I don’t know of any easy ways to avoid that scheduling issue other than by a timezone change.
- Tatchik77InitiateYou can set one filter for the IP address (for example from 10pm to 11:59pm) then set filter for mac address (from 12am to 6am)

that is a great idea! shouldn't have to go to so much work but a good idea on a workaround
