C7000 Blinking Downstream? Choppy Internet

Hoping someone can help?  My c7000 has a constant blinking green downstream light?  At times both the upstream and downstream are a solid amber (not often).  I've rebooted it numerous times both by p...

They should be able to attach 2 modems to your account and then assign each one a IP address no setting would need changed in the modem.

I finally did get this answer from Xfinity. You basically need a cable modem for every public IP you want to use.

    Modem only mode?

    just go to 192.168.100.1

    that's the default address for the modem.

      Thanks, I was trying to use the 192.168.0.1 address as that was what was setup when it was in routing mode.

      I am able to connect with the IP you provided.

        Glad to hear you were able to access it. The address you were using would have been for controlling the router but its disabled and your primary router potentially uses that.
