Nighthawk XS4 - Don't remember my gateway user and password
Hello, did a factory reset on my router hoping it would reset the gateway password, but, it did not. I tried admin/password combo but fail every time. I also forgot the first Net gear product I purchased. How do i factory reset the gateway password?

What actual device do you have? (check the label)
When you reset, did you push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while it was powered on?
Yes, I did that, and I can now log in on the wifi but can't get into the gateway router settings. I can't remember my answer to the security question. I have the Nighthawk X4S AC3200 Wifi Cable Modem Router, Model No c7800.
If you didn't go through setup, the defaults are:
login: admin
password: password
Then it'll force you to change the password.
Don't go through setup on the app. Just use the browser
