Hello.
I usually have to reset my router every single day or turn it off because it acts up. Today I did that and realized that it might’ve went back to factory settings, the network name turned into the default NETGEAR and now there is no password protection on it.
How do I put a password on it?

Two very different operations.

Not a very detailed description of anything.

Which "that"?

Reset should do that. Cycling the power should not.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "Manage the Basic
WiFi Settings".
