Splitting/ switching a Modem signal

Question

Can a modem signal be ‘split’ and then sent to two different/ separate routers??If so what netgear product can achieve this?

Are you talking the coax connection?&nbsp;
Or connecting the coax to the modem and then using a switch on the modem?&nbsp;
If its option 2, most ISP's don't support that for a consumer connection.&nbsp;
Some do allow you to buy modem's with more than 1 output that you can connect more than 1 router to.&nbsp;
So a little clarification helps on what you're trying to do and what equipment you have.&nbsp;

Thanks… not splitting the coaxial, trying to split the signal coming out of the Optimum modem and then to two separate routers.I think you answered it… only 1 IPS per modem/ account….Thanks

Might ask the ISP if they support having more than 1 WAN IP address to one line. Some ISPs may support that.&nbsp;

Optimum only supports 1 public ip address.&nbsp;
You could always use a modem/router combo device and connect the 2x routers to that.&nbsp;
But you'd want the other 2 routers to be in access point mode to prevent a double nat and so all the devices can see each other on the network.&nbsp;
Unless you're trying to achieve something different.&nbsp;
