Using TFTP To Update Firmware For CAX30
I am trying to update firmware for a Nighthawk CAX30 which stopped accessing the internet 3 days ago. I read the instructions for updating the firmware by using TFTP from the command prompt. What is the correct timing for entering TFTP prompt after restoring power to the router? The instructions say to hit enter when the power LED is flashing orange, but after restoring power the LED goes from blank to solid white without ever flashing orange, and every time I hit command I get an error message stating "Connect request failed" I did make sure to enable tftp in windows 11 before initiating the command. Thank you.

Something I do on same wired PC, open up a command dos box and run a constant ping to the IP address your going to be sending too. The ping will report no response to start, keep waiting and watch for when the no response changes to getting a response, that's when you'll know the TFTP port is open and should accept the FW file at this point.
If you use the NMRPFlash program, this will do all this for you.
