accessing 5g network on W7 system

I'm using an AC1750 wifi router. it  works will with my w8 pc and my ios system devices. They can  see both primary and guest networks and 5g and non-5g.  However, on my w7 pc, it cannot find the 5g network that appears on all other devices. ls there a fix to this?

    Welcome to the community, jqhall63

What's the exact model number of your NETGEAR device?

On your Windows 7, can you the 2.4GHz signal? If you do, then your Windows 7 machine only supports 2.4GHz signal.

However, if it cannot find any other wireless network check if the wireless feature on that computer is turned on.

        Hello jqhall63

Make sure your windows 7 pc has a 5Ghz capable wireless card in it. If it does you may want to try and update the driver for the wireless card on the PC.
