iPhone IP address - DoS Problems

I identified that my wife and I using the Snapchat app on our iPhones (6s and 7) swaps between IP addresses on our home network (Router: Netgear C3000, ISP: Comcast). All IP addresses connected to my router show that they start with "192...", but this alternative IP it connects with is "130..." and it matches the source IP causing the DoS attacks in my router log. I've confirmed on our iPhones that the Wifi MAC Address always stays the same per device.

This issue appears to be the source of our internet dropping out almost daily lately, reseting the router always fixes. I identified in my router settings that "Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection" was ENABLED and have now unchecked this feature. I'm hoping this works. Any other advice on how to resolve this issue? Or at the very least help make sure we are protected?

  • There are a few post about the C3000 doing the same thing RE: 130 subnet. Not sure what the outcome is. ElaineM was there some sort of fix for this issue on the C3000?
