C6230 Connection Issues

Hi Everyone,

I have a C6230 with Xfinity as my ISP. I have been having the following issues recently:

  1. My Xbox Series X will not connect to the internet via ethernet and I have to restart the C6230 everytime to get the Xbox to connect to the internet. I have port forwards but have tried everything from factory resetting the C6230, only using UPNP, and even putting the Series X on the DMZ. This only happens on ethernet odly enough. My Xbox One X in the living room has no trouble at all on the 2.4Ghz Network.
  2. My work computer on ethernet loses connection to the C6230 several times throughout the day and I have to reboot the C6230 in order to get it to work again.
  3. There is an upload packet loss of about 1% every so often. I called Xfinity and they wanted to send a tech out but I don't want to be charged $50 just for someone to make sure my cables are tight.

The only band-aid that I have found that works is it I disable IPV4 DHCP on the C6230 and manullay enter my devices. Just a reminder, I have only been having LAN connection issues on ethernet.

My C6230 is still within warranty, I just don't like how I have to pay for shipping for it to be repaired? Also, phone support is expired so how am I supposed to claim the warranty if I have to call? I cannot be without internet as I am working from home now.

Thank you!
