C6230 Connection Issues
Hi Everyone,
I have a C6230 with Xfinity as my ISP. I have been having the following issues recently:
- My Xbox Series X will not connect to the internet via ethernet and I have to restart the C6230 everytime to get the Xbox to connect to the internet. I have port forwards but have tried everything from factory resetting the C6230, only using UPNP, and even putting the Series X on the DMZ. This only happens on ethernet odly enough. My Xbox One X in the living room has no trouble at all on the 2.4Ghz Network.
- My work computer on ethernet loses connection to the C6230 several times throughout the day and I have to reboot the C6230 in order to get it to work again.
- There is an upload packet loss of about 1% every so often. I called Xfinity and they wanted to send a tech out but I don't want to be charged $50 just for someone to make sure my cables are tight.
The only band-aid that I have found that works is it I disable IPV4 DHCP on the C6230 and manullay enter my devices. Just a reminder, I have only been having LAN connection issues on ethernet.
My C6230 is still within warranty, I just don't like how I have to pay for shipping for it to be repaired? Also, phone support is expired so how am I supposed to claim the warranty if I have to call? I cannot be without internet as I am working from home now.
Thank you!

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Is the devices wired or wirelessly connected to the modem?
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.
