CM1200 not developing IP addresses

I have a CM1200 modem. This modem has worked flawless with a TP-Link mesh and a computer hooked into ports 1 & 2. I have recently purchased a PS4 and apple box to add to my office. When I add the PS4 to the modem in port 3 it will not develop an IP address and connect to the internet. I have switched cords and this does not help. I have unhooked the computer leaving PS4 in port 3. After a reboot the PS4 developed and IP address, but if you put the computer back on 2 it will not connect. Only devices will connect at a time in any 2 given ports. All ports have nee tried an work as long only 2 devives are connected. The firmware version is V1.02.02. The ISP is Mediacom 1 with 1Gig speed. I have also tried a TP-Link 4 port switch into port of modem with all 4 devives connected and still connect develop IP on equipment. Please advise. Thank you for the help.

    Who's your isp?

the majority of ISP's only assign 1 public IP address per account.

Even though this device has 4 ports, if you're isp only assigns a set number of public IP addresses, thats how many can be connected.

So I'm surprised you were able to even attach a 2nd devices to this modem.

If you want to connect more devices directly to the modem, you'd need the ISP to assign more public ip addresses (usually costs $)

Or attach a router and you can connect whatever you want to the router.

The CM series modems are modems only. There is no router. You'll need a external router to use with the CM1200 modem.
