    Hi oneplace

    Welcome to the community!

Amber Ethernet light means that the device connected to it is running on 10/100Mbps only.

The Ethernet port is capable of up to 1000Mbps.

so that light blinks like that because the wireless router it's connected to has a slow speed?   Is it a problem?  My wireless router is at least 10 years old (linksys wireless g wrt546)... It still works so I've held off on replacing it.   I bought the cm400 because I was tired of paying the cable company....

        Hello Lins

No problem at all it should work like that with older equipment.
