Can't login Netgear C6300

Hello all,

I have had my router for 3 plus years now. Never had any problems. I moved to a house and went to set everything up. Reset everything created a login and password after you go to routerlogin.net and use admin and password to access. Even created the security questions. I took a screen shot of my login and password so I had it for reference. It won't let me login in to my router and if I do the security questions it tells me the answers are wrong. I am getting frustrated trying to login. I'm talking within minutes of setting everything up it is telling me it can't recognize my answers.

How do I reset everything? I even tried another factory reset.

Thank you!

many people just click the reset button. Make sure you're pushing and holding it while its fully powered on. It usually takes 7-15 seconds but some can take as long as 30. the lights will change when you've held it long enough.

couple things you can try though.

    1. a different browser. sometimes this helps.

    2. A different computer.

    3. disable any password managers/autofill options. This can overwrite your answers sometimes and cause issues.

    4. keep in mind the passwords are sensitive to spaces and capitalization.

I, too, had the exact same "cannot log in after a firmware update and reset".  I was finally able to log in by using Internet Explorer - Firefox, Chrome, and Edge would not work.  Even with IE it took a couple tries, but it eventually got through so I could then change passwords, SSID names, etc.

What happens if you set compatibility mode in IE11?
