Disabling Wlan partition?

Good afternoon,

I just switched from the Comcast provided tower cable wifi router to the N600.  Both bands are working fine, but my wireless brother printer only recognizes the 2.4 Ghz band.   From what I have read online, this shouldn't be a problem becuase the two bands should be able to communicate with each other.  I have also read that if they are not communicating with each other I should "disable the wlan partition"  I have logged in the router IP address and see nothing about this.  The guest network is not enabled.

I am running Mac computers (OS Mojave).  It is frustrating to have to switch over to the 2.4 any time I need to print something.  With the comcast router, I never had to do that.

I am opening to trying anything.  Thank you.

That's what should happen (with the optional exception of a guest
network), but similar complaints have appeared here for various model
    and/or firmware versions.  For example:

Complain to Netgear?  Buy a properly functioning router?  (The modem
part of the C3700 should be harmless in this respect.)

You could try a settings reset (and manual reconfiguration)) on the
C3700, just in case its settings got scrambled someplace along the way.
I wouldn't bet much on that, however.

Unfortunately, Netgear not Comcast were able to fix this problem. I ended up returning my Netgear modem and going back to renting one from Comcast. :-(
