Error with comcast connection
We recently moved to a new apartment and are having trouble activating our internet through comcast. We are using a NetGear CM500 modem. Whenever we plug the ethernet cable into either of our computers, all internet use links us to the comcast activation screen. If we try and enter our account number and phone number as new customers, we recieve this message:
We're sorry, we were unable to complete your activation.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please call 1-855-OK-BEGIN
If we try to log in as existing customers, we recieve this error message:
We're sorry, we were unable to complete your activation.
Order service returned an OPEN Service Request with TECH activation before ScheduleDate.
We can currently view our account on xfinity.com, and it says that it is connecting to the modem fine. We can also log into xfinitywifi. We currently have a tech appointment scheduled on the 16th

Re: Error with comcast connection
Hello calyandwolfy
I would say something is wrong with the cable connection or something is messed up in the ISP billing system that activates the modem and its stuck you could try to factory reset the modem by holding the reset button for 10 seconds then try to activate the modem again.
