Netgear AX6000 Wifi Cable Modem Router WPA3 Security?
I just purchased the brand new AX6000 WiFi Cable Modem Router. It says it is an 8-stream WiFi 6 Cable Modem. However it does not have WPA3 security for WiFi. I thought all WiFi 6 cable routers were required to have WPA3 security. My modem only lists WPA2 (AES).
Is this coming in a future firmware update or do I need to enable this somehow?
Thank you in advance.

What FW update is loaded on the modem?
Is this the CBR750 system?
Possible theat WPA3 will be added later.
There are known problems with WPA3 which are still being worked out at the WPA3 dev folks level.

jonahmiles7 I assume you're talking about CAX80. This equipment isn't required to have anything specific to Wi-Fi 6 if it isn't officially Wi-Fi 6 certified. From discussions here I don't think there are Netgear Wi-Fi 6 devices certified (I could be wrong, so someone please correct me). On top of that, CAX80 firmware will likely not be updated by the ISP (Internet Service Provider) - see discussion in the third link below (not CAX80 specific but nonetheless the topic applies).
Here are a few good discussions on the topic.

If and when they decide to add WPA3, hopefully NG can push this to users since the CAX80 supports the router portion of the modem being updated by users. I believe the modem portion FW is still reserved by the ISP though.
