Netgear modem not working well with apple router
I replaced the xfinity leased modem with the Netgear CM500V. My router is an Airport Extreme. Since installing the new modem the router is not working as well. It's range is severly diminished. Can the modem impact the operation of the router?

"It's range is severly diminished." Do you mean wifi range or speeds.
The CM can't effect wireless range. Speeds maybe on wired.
Are speeds good at the modem with a wired PC connected directly to the modem?

Both the speed and the range of the wifi are compromised. The internet speed on the computers is fine. The computers are wired to the router by ethernet cable. They are not plugged into the modem.
That would be a wifi problem at the router, and not the modem.
Contact the routers mfr for help and information.
