Reset WAN IP Address on Nighthawk cm1150v
Need to release and renew the IP address assigned by Xfinity. I do not see any option in the Netgear Genie page, basic or advanced. There has got to be a way other than disconnecting the modem for 3 days to allow the IP address lease to expire. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Leased IP addresses and renew are set by the ISP, even if you reset the modem or rebooted it, the MAC address is tied to there system and there least IP address policy will keep the IP address until there lease time frame expires, then you'd get a new IP address.
Noramlly users don't need or shouldn't need a new IP address.

Yeah, I know...I contacted Xfinity to request that they release my IP address so I could obtain a different one and they would not do it because my cm1150v is not theirs. I have a weird issue where I am unable to access Amazon or any of its services any longer, all other sites are fine, connectivity to Amazon when connected to VPN works fine, so I've pinned down that my Xfinity provided IP address has been blocked or blacklisted either at Xfinity or at Amazon...likely the former. So, at this point, obtaining a new IP address is the only way that I know to resolve the issue.

You need to investigate why the WAN IP address is being blocked. IF your not doing anything nefarious, then the WAN IP address should not be blocked. I would talk to both your ISP an Amazon and find out whats going on.
