cm1200 drops cox service and freezes

I have cox internet service.  I have had issues almost every day during the week of the modem locking up and dropping signal.  My Night hawk router loses internet even though the modem indicates I have signal.  I go through cox and reset the signal to the modem, which it does, but then I still don't have internet to my router. I have to get on with the cox support team and they have to send a massive reload package to the modem, it resets, and it finally works again.  It's about 30 minutes a day on customer service that I am spending with down internet and having them send a big enough reset signal to unlock the router.  What is going on?  I even went as far as to factory reset the modem.  This lasted for about a week and then I started having the same issues.  It happens at least 2-3 days a week now.  I reset the router (night hawk as well) and modem each time.

Any ideas?

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Have them resend the configuration file.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute them back ON.

Disable Link Aggregation if it's enabled on the CM modem.
