netgear c3700/n600 inconsistent latency

Hi there! I have had really inconsistent latency the past month and, after contacting my ISP's [Cox] support several times to no prevail, they have instructed me to reach to my modem's support which is what I'm doing now.

I'm on the lastest acceptable firmware, V2.02.21 and I'm running Windows 10 64-bit.

Here is the lastest ping test I ran. My ping is ranging from 12-34ms, but in games I'm experiencing 40-150ms, as well as my download speeds ranging from 5Mbps to 35Mbps (my plan is 150Mbps).

Re: netgear c3700/n600 inconsistent latency

Are you testing with a wired PC?

Ensure there are not coax cable line splitters in between the modem and ISP service box.

Ensure the ISP has checked the signal and quality up to the modem after removing any line splitters.

Ensure your using good quality RG6 coax cabling.

Might need to try a different model modem.
