Circle keeps losing internet connection then reconnecting.

At least once a day, I get the notification on my phone "Circle has lost its internet connection. There may be an issue with your home network."

Then a little while later "Your Circle is back online!"

 

1. What is the firmware version of the Orbi? Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60 and Circle Firmware 2.0.8.9 App version 2.1.2 (521)

2. Does it stay offline for a long period? No, only a few hours

3. To confirm, once you are notified that it is offline, are you unable to make changes on the settings via the app? Unsure

4. Are you notified that it is offline while you are within your network/at home? Yes, but also when I am not at home, it notifies my phone.

  • For the past 3 weeks or so, my Disney Circle has been disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet with no seeming corelation with the orbi router losing internet. The Circle App sends me a phone noticifation that:

     

    "Circle has lost its internet connection. There may be an issue with your home network".

     

    Then a few minutes to a few hours later, I get another notification saying:

     

    "Your Cirlce is back online!"

     

    This happens an average of 8 times a day! While the Circle has lost it's internet connection, the Orbi is still serving wireless internet to all other devices just fine. I am not sure what the issue is here but it has pretty much:

    1. Rendered Circle functionality useless as it can never stay connected long enough to perform its Parental Control duties

    2. Disrupts my days and nights with persistent connection failures and reconnection notifications. 

     

    How can I troubleshoot and correct this issue?

     

    Circle App version: 2.1.6 (559)

    Circle Firmware: 2.0.8.9

    Router: Orbi RBR50

    Router Firmware: V2.3.5.30

  • I can confirm the same issue, very annoying since I'm paying $5/monthly.

     

    1. What is the firmware version of the Orbi? 
    Orbi Firmware 2.5.1.8

    2. Does it stay offline for a long period? 

    No, anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours

    3. To confirm, once you are notified that it is offline, are you unable to make changes on the settings via the app? 
    I'm not able to login to the circle app once notified that it is offline, the Orbi app still works fine

    4. Are you notified that it is offline while you are within your network/at home? 
    Notified both at home and away, connected and on different networks
