R6300v2 Port Forwarding no working on Port 19132

I have built a server, and trying to build a Minecraft server for my son. It is setup properly, windows firewall has the approriate rules in place. I set the port forwarding on the router and cannot connect.

My router is a static IP address, and I have two separate outside networks here. I am attempting to access the server via the software from an outside network with no success.

i have even used canyouseeme to see if the port is open and it states it is not.

I have the R6300v2

firmware is the latest

Firmware Version
V1.0.4.2_10.0.74

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance

Re: R6300v2 Port Forwarding no working on Port 19132

Did you verify that the server is up and running by connecting from a local PC?

yes I RDP into the server, start the software, watch it start up and run.

I am unable to connect to the minecraft sever on the LAN or externally. According to all instructions I have it configured properly, just not sure why I cannot  connect.

thanks anyways for the help.

Does the R6300v2 have a public or private IP address on its Internet/WAN port?  If it's private, then you have another router, likely your ISP's.  You would either need to set up port forwarding rules on that router, or convert that router into a bridge.

it is a public IP address. The modem/router from my ISP is a bridged router.

Re: R6300v2 Port Forwarding no working on Port 19132

Have you confirmed that your Minecraft server is assigned with the IP address that matches the port forwarding rule?  You might want to set up an IP address reservation on the R6300v2 in order to insure that the IP address doesn't change.

If the address is correct, then try rebooting the R6300v2.  Just a plain power cycle.  Then, confirm that the port forwarding rule is still there.  If you are not using UPnP, then turn it off to avoid any potential conflicts.

Finally, you can try enabling Open NAT under WAN Setup.

Ok,

the machine that the minecraft server software resides on, I have checked a doubled checked the IP address.

NAT is set to OPEN

I have rebooted the router. PF still there.

Now I do have UPnP on because of other applications. I will disable to see if that is the problem, but I hope not.

will Let you know.

Ok,

tried dis-abling UPnP, rebooted router, still nothing.

Re-installed minecraft PE Server, still not able to connect nor when I go to canyouseeme.org it states the port is closed.

Let me know what else I can try. I am stumped.

Did you verify that the server is up and running by connecting from a local PC?

Intead of using canyouseeme.org, have you tried connecting from a remote PC?

If the answer to both questions is, "Yes," then I don't have any other ideas.

Re: R6300v2 Port Forwarding no working on Port 19132

If you cannot connect to the server from your LAN, then your server is not running properly and this is not a port forwarding issue.  You need to fix your server before port forwarding will work.

Does netstat -rn on the server show it listening to port 19132?
