R6400 Lost Configuration on Reboot Everytime

Everytime I reboot my router or if I lose power I lost my wifi network configuration where the gateway ip address, and the subnet I've assigned.
When I assign 192.168.100.0 it always defaults back to 192.168.1 subnet. However, my username and pasword are always working so it's not losing everything.
Any ideas?

Where, exactly, are you setting that?

At least one of us is confused. On my R7000 (V1.0.7.6_1.1.99), the
only address under ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup is the "Default DMZ
Server". The router's WAN IP address is set under ADVANCED > Setup >
Internet Setup: Internet IP Address, and its LAN address (with netmask)
is set under ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup: LAN TCP/IP Setup.
Your R6400 could be different, but perhaps it would help if you
explained what you're trying to do.

Re: R6400 Lost Configuration on Reboot Everytime
I have another device on my network I have at 192.168.1.1 and I don't want my router to start using that address. I tell the software that the router is 192.168.100.10, and all new devices use 192.168.100.20+ (That way I'm using a different subnet than the other device). When it reboots it should maintain those settings but it reverts back to 192.168.1.1 and all the devices start connecting as 192.168.1.2, .3, .4 and etc.

Re: R6400 Lost Configuration on Reboot Everytime
Dexter,
The version is V1.0.1.24_1.0.18. I did see the AP node was on. I'll turn it off and see if that fixes the issue and reboot the router. That must be a default setting on the router with the AP mode on.
Also, when I rebooted the router it was a normal reboot not default settings. The other thing I noticed is a few times the router was rebooted somehow by loss of power or the os decided to reboot and it came back wth the default settings.

Re: R6400 Lost Configuration on Reboot Everytime
Hi @unixdude,
Thank you for the update. The device is set to router mode by default and not in AP mode. It is possible that it is setting itself up in AP mode during boot up since it is detecting that it is within the same IP range as the your other router. You can try configuring the device's IP first before connecting it to your other router.

Re: R6400 Lost Configuration on Reboot Everytime
Hi Dexter
Thanks for following up. I tried to change the ap mode but I can't find where to in the GUI. It appears it's finding another router and automatically turning on ap mode. I can see in the wireless configuration it's on but I can't find where to turn it off
Let me know
thanks
