WNR2000v2 - WiFi Password

I have had router about 6 years with no problems. I set it up with WEP security and it is connected to my desk top and cable modem. I have Kaspersky Internet Security and when I start up my lap top it cautions me to change my security settings to WPA2. I changed the settings to WPA2PSK through my net gear account. Now my lap top, 2 iphones and 2 kindles cannot connect to the router. All of them ask me to login with password and then doesn't accept the password. I have not changed the password. What have I done incorrectly? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

You cannot go from WEP to WPA2 with changing PW.....use a wired PC login to router verify WPA2 security settings.

I have verified the WPA2-PSK setting on my desk top through "Net Gear Smart Wizerd Router Manager." Are you saying that once that is changed that the password is no longer valid and I should change it?

I went ahead and changed the password under my log in account under Maintenance, Set Password. The old password came with the router and was 26 digits. I assigned the new password (18 digits) entered twice as instructed and clicked apply. When I tried to set up the wifi with an iphone I got an enter password I entered the new password and it came back as incorrect. I admit I am not a "techie." Did I change the password correctly or are there other steps that I should take.
