Re: NETGEAR Switch GS116Ev2 Password Login Reset / Switch Password Reset to Factory Default
Hello AlphaGear,
Welcome to the community!
To reset the switch to factory default, push and hold the reset button (Factory Defaults) on the front of the switch for 30 seconds and turn off the switch. Turn it back on after 10 seconds and wait til it boots up properly. My additional advice is to make sure that you are using the latest version of the Prosafe Plus utility before trying to log back in. Download here.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks,

Re: NETGEAR Switch GS116Ev2 Password Login Reset / Switch Password Reset to Factory Default
Hi , I have the same switch and the same issue. I cannot reset the password, even following the advice given here. The configurtation utility sees the switch, but even using the reset button as described will not work. I am running Windows 10. Any help would be much appreciated

Re: NETGEAR Switch GS116Ev2 Password Login Reset / Switch Password Reset to Factory Default
At the time, the versions that the user tried were 2.2.36, 2.2.34 and 2.2.26 if I remember correctly.
Once done, update your firmware, change your password and update the utility.
