Settings to enable LAG between M4300 12X12F and QNAP TVS-h1288X
Hello, we want to activate link aggregation on our QNAP TVS-h1288X. We are using a NetGear ProSafe M4300-12X12F as managed switch. Does anyone have recommendations which settings to chose on...

N1) Admin Mode - Enable/Disable
a LAG is a Link Aggregation Group, combining two or more links. Guess you want to have it enabled?
N2) Link Trap - Enable/Disable
Link status changes should trigger a TRAP on an SNMP receiver? If yes: Keep it enabled 8-)
N3) STP Mode - Enable/Disable
Spanning Tree Protocol should kept enabled on all ports. Guess this needs to be enabled on an STP enabled network.
N4) Static Mode - Enable/Disable
.You intend to configure a (static) LAG or a dynamic LACP LAG?
Yes, sometime it's essential to understand the networking 1x1 before attempting to master the big unknown. This would protect from some assumptions. Please read my previous reply accordingly.

Hello schumaku,
Thank you very much for your answer. It helps a lot to understand the settings.
I am very sorry to have formulated the introducing post in a misleading way. I tried to describe the GUI in a systematic way. Checkboxes I described by "Enable/Disable". Dropdown values I described by using a numeric index...
I attached the pictures of the GUI of the LACP setting of Qnap and Netgear (which I should have done in the introducing post).
Do you have recommendations, which hash policy of the Qnap fits best to the hash mode setting of the Netgear?
Thank you very much
