APC PowerChute Network Shutdown for ReadyNAS
Has anyone used the APC plugin "PowerChute Network Shutdown v3.0.1 for NETGEAR ReadyNAS" -> http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SFPCNS301-NETGEAR?
I installed it on an Ultra and have it talking to an APC SMT1500J - seems to work just fine. Downside - Frontview no longer sees a UPS (although I haven't tried reconnecting over SNMP - not sure there is value there) however I can now schedule an outlet group to power down after the NAS is off.
Oh, and it's free.

Re: APC PowerChute Network Shutdown for ReadyNAS
Old post, but BTW, v3.1.0 was just released and I'm using it on an Ultra 4 Plus, and it's great! I too do not see a UPS status indicator in FrontView. I am trying to find a way to do something similar on a NV+ too.
ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus 4TBx2 + 2TBx2 w/ APC Smart-UPS 750 w/ Webcard Teaming, ReadyNAS NV+ Backup Unit 2TBx4,HP ProCurve V1810 Switches, Mac Pro 8x3.0 24/SSD 240GB RAID 0+4 Drive 3TB RAID 0/AE/BT, MBP 2.8 Retina 16/1 TB SSD
