Compatibility List
Can someone please point me to the updated hardware compatibility list for a Pro6 [RNDP6000-200] ?
I need to replace a dead drive and the drives that I'm using are discontinued.
Thank you

Go to the ReadyNAS Hard Disk Compatibility List, select Legacy and then ReadyNAS Pro 6.
Note that to use disks larger than 2TB you'll need to be running 4.2.16 (or later). You should be already.
Also note that there are a couple of expansion limits.
If your volume capacity was say 1.8TB when you last did a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) you can't expand past 9.8TBYou cannot expand past 16TB. You'd need to backup your data, do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) with the disks in place to get a larger volume.
OS6 does not have these expansion limits, however we don't support running it on your Pro 6 and if you want to run it you would need to backup your data as the upgrade procedure involves a factory reset.- StephenBGuru - Experienced User
I suggest avoiding desktop drives (even though many are on that list). NAS-purposed drives (WDC Red and Seagate IronWolf) are generally better for NAS use than desktop.
Also, Netgear has stopped updating that list for the Pro-6 (and other legacy NAS). Any NAS-purposed or enterprise drive should work well, as long as you keep the expansion constraints described by mdgm in mind.
