DNS error message 6001010060 readycloud login and admin page

Hi,

 

since last week i'm getting an error message when using readycloud.
 As soon as i login i'm getting the below message:

when i click OK i can access the nas just fine and nothing else seems to be wrong.
When i login to the admin interface and choose to check for a firmware-update, i'm getting the following message...

also when i click this away i can access the nas fine, but the installed apps won't show and also searching for other apps isn't possible.
I haven't changed anything in my setup and also i haven't done anothing to my modem/router.

Can someone help me in getting this resolved?

I am seeing the same error when I click on "Check for Updates" as noted below

This was working fine recently (in the last week)

 

I can also confirm that communications is not an issue as this ReadyNAS has sent me email alerts (tested in the last five minutes) and I am receiving Antivirus updates.

 

@dingjs1421 or @B_L can you confirm if this problem is at the Netgear end or any other thoughts?

@StephenB - Are you seeing this issue?

Yes.  I'm thinking it's an issue with the DNS record for Netgear's update server.  Whatever it is, it's a Netgear backend problem, not something wrong with my ReadyNAS.

Yes.  I'm thinking it's an issue with the DNS record for Netgear's update server.  Whatever it is, it's a Netgear backend problem, not something wrong with my ReadyNAS. 


I agree with you. Comforting to know others around the world also see this issue.

 

Hope the team @netgear take a look and fix this inhouse soon as it appears to impact their a significant proportion of their community of users.

As Negtear surreptitiously discontinued the ReadyNas line of products, with no prior warning and even no official announcement, my understanding is that they might cease to provide OS updates or security update altogether and disconnect the corresponding server. .

 

I am not the only one to fear that we will soon have no further OS or even security update: https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/Future-ReadyNAS-OS6-security-updates/t....

 

I look forward to an Netgear employee confirming that Netgear will keep updating the OS or at least providing us with security updates.

FWIW, with OS 4.2.x and OS 5.3.x, they continued to provide firmware updates for about 4 years after the products were discontinued.
