ReadyNAS NV rnv1-s2-0000 can’t connect
Hello everyone- my old ReadyNAS NV (Infrant Ready label) powers up, I can ping it successfully but cannot access the files on the drives. Tried remapping the drives in file manager but the connection...

RAIDar does not work on my windows 10 system. I also tried running RAIDar in windows 7 compatibility mode but no luck. Is there a version that is compatible with windows 10?
Will R-Studio work if I configured the NAS as X-RAID?
When I try to access the admin interface at http://192.168.1.80/admin I get a can’t reach this page error even though the can ping the address successfully.
Any idea what the blinking power LED indicates?
Once on, the NAS is also difficult to power down. Only way I can power down is to hold the powering button down for about one minute.
Thanks

Yes. Do you know what firmware the NAS is running?

If you choose to get another NAS for your volume, you can also use an NV+ (the original, silver one, not the V2 black one). But before you do that, lets make sure it's the chassis, not the volume, that's the problem. What RAIDar sees with no drives will go a long way to determine that.
- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarWith the drives removed from the chassis, I did labeled them 1-4 before removing, the NAS cannot acquire an IP address on the network so RAIDar fails to find the NAS. Also, with the drives removed the blue power LED blinks continuously. The green drive lights are off.
The NAS also will not power off by pressing and holding the power button with the drives removed. Is there a way to test the memory module? What type of module is it it? Maybe I can install it in a PC to test it?- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarWould it help to insert one spare scratch disk into the NAS to reinstall the OS by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds during power up?
If the above is successful and I can access the single volume could I then reinstall the original four drives and read them assuming they are in working order?
- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarNo unfortunately I don’t know the firmware version.
