Netgear Genie Windows won't run
I have downloaded and installed and tried to run Genie on my Windows 10 machine, but alas nothing happens. I get runtime error and it closes the program. Newer Windows 10 machine, completely uptodate. Here is my event viewer log for the error:

Do you have another Windows account by any chance?
My genie (different version) blows up in one user but works in another.
These might be informative:

As the Netgear Genie Windows 10 search shows, there are more where those came from.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have my standard login ID which is set as a standard user (for security). I tried to run Genie with the 'Run as Administrator' option on right-click...low and behold it works! Still aggravating that I have to do that.
EDIT: I downloaded the latest version straight from netgear site and yet, when I get to the router settings page, there is no drop down for remote like in the video.

Hmm. Gets even more confusing.
Your message prompted me to upgrade to the newer Windows genie.
That seems to work. Today at least.
