Configuring the EX6100

A couple of days ago I installed and configured my EX6100 extender/AP.  I decided to install this device because the wifi signal to my Ruko box as low and the tv screen would freeze or loose the signal alltogether.  Anyway, iI installed the EX6100 in the AP mode, as I have an ethernet port in the room that is wired to my modem/router downstairs.  The Ruko box is wifi only, so I needed an AP or extender to provide a better signal.

After configuring everything, my Ruko box still freezes and looses signal.  The Ruko box and AP and about 15' apart.  I have a similar setup in an adjacent room using an Ap from another manufacturer and a TV with a Chromcast same seperation sistance, no signal loss.

The ehternet port on the EX6100 remains amber, but I doo see that there is an unlit green led as well.  I connected the EX6100 directly to the router with a lont ethernet cable and the led remains amber.  Is there something I did wrong or didn't do?

    Hello SMFla

The amber light just means good connection so that should not be the issue have you made sure to update the firmware on the 6100?

No, I have not installed a firmware update.  I will check toe downloads for one.
