EX3700 fails to setup properly using WPS button
Hi there,
I have a new EX3700 to extend an existing network.
My existing network has 20 devices connected, all working fine (when they connect).
Security is via a Thompson TG585 Wifi ADSL Router.
I first setup the EX3700 using the WPS button - and it seemed to setup correctly; but then when any device connected to it, it could not access the internet.
It is running at 2.4GHz, with WPA-PSK setup.
When I try to access the new "network: from an iPad, it says my password is incorrect - yet it is clearly the same password as the original Thompson Router, and it was setup by WPS. What's going on?
When I set the extended up manually, a very similar problem - except manually entering a password allows the iPad to "connect" to the extender, but no further.
Any suggestions?
Do the security modes, and asswords need to be exactly the same? Is there a known problem from Apple devices accessing the extenders?
thanks, Ham,

Hello HamishRm
I would keep the security types and same and the passwords. Have you tried to use WPA2 and also you may want to remove all security to run a test to see if everything will connect and work this will narrow down if its a issue with the security type. Also you may want to clear out the save networks on the Ipad then connect agian.
