Have Nighthawk EX8000 and EX770, can I use 7700 as AP and use 8000 as extender?

My home is a 2floor long rectangle. The modem/router is located on 1st floor at the front of the house. Office room is located at the backend of the house on the second floor. I currently have EX8000 in kitchen which is right under office room because office room was a dead zone. I want to set up the EX7700 as an access point and then bring the EX8000 into the office so I can have a wired connection for my desktop. The EX8000 would be working as an extender. Would I be able to do this? How? Any tips for setup?

P.S. I was originally thinking of keeping the EX8000 in the kitchen and bringing the EX7700 to the office room, but I wasn't sure how well the connection would be having to have jumped 2 wifi extenders. Would this be a better idea than using EX7700 as AP? Why?

Use the EX8000 as the access point. In access point, the device is hardwired in. The EX8000's backhaul  is much wider than the ex7700's so when its in access point mode, that backhaul is freed up for usage. And you can connect the EX7700 to it so its got a better connection back to the AP.

    Thats the route I'd take.
