Nighthawk X6S EX8000 Issues
EX8000 - firmware updated, unit drops the connection without continuous use, if I turn off the extender, the connection from router works fine.
After over an hour with tech support, it was concluded the unit is defective.

Hi JayLo,
Welcome to the community!
1. It is recommended that a factory reset is done after a firmware update.
2. Does the issue persist on both bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz)?
3. Does the issue persist on all your wireless devices?
4. Have you tried changing the wireless channel of the main wireless network?
5. When it drops, does the extender still broadcast the wireless network?
Regards,
Dexter

I have reported a similar issue like the one you experienced and just came across your post. Do you have a number I can call tech support?

I'm having same issue and here are the answer to you question; I also opened a case with Netgear and its been 7 days since I received last email and haven't heard anything.
1. It is recommended that a factory reset is done after a firmware update. Done
2. Does the issue persist on both bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz)? Yes
3. Does the issue persist on all your wireless devices? Yes
4. Have you tried changing the wireless channel of the main wireless network? Yes
5. When it drops, does the extender still broadcast the wireless network? Yes, clients connect to extender but no Internet, some clients that always stay on don't ave the issue but if they get restarted, they connect but don't have access to Internet.
