LAN Ethernet Ports Stop Working
Firmware version 1.0.5.8
Not aware of when the last update was installed.
Problem began 4/18/20
Having issues where LAN Ethernet Ports stop working every morning. Nothing on my network has changed in the last 2 weeks.
I can reset the router and the problem is resolved until the next day.
And yes I have searched the internet and find discussions dating back to 2018 and mid 2019 but all the discussions have absolutely no resolution. The only recommendation I keep coming across is to return the router. This is the dumbest recommendation considering my router is nearly 3 years old.
Does anyone have useful resolutions from a technical standpoint that do not involve replacing the firmware with third-party firmware, returning/replacing a $500 router, or any other non technical unhelpful ideas. I am fairly tech savvy, so things like recommending cooler locations is not going to help.

1. What modem are you using?
2. What firmware are you on? and please give a version and not "the latest"
3. What have you done to try to fix it?
4. You put that it happens every morning. LIke clockwork? is it exactly 24 hours?
5. Is it just the lan ports? wifi still works?
- Thanks for the quick reply but I shouldn't even respond to this reply. Especially since the answer to most of your questions are clearly stated in my original post.
Motorola SB6183 - this has nothing to do with my LAN ports not working. All wifi devices are working fine. You don't need a modem to use a router. This is not an internet problem. It is port access issue.
Yes it is just Ethernet Ports.
Pretty much clockwork. We get on the desktop every morning at about 8am and find it has stopped. I then check connectivity to my NAS which is also disconnected.
looks like my NAS never reestablished connection after it's automatic 5am reboot. That is the most accurate time I can pinpoint.- plemansGuru - Experienced User
