XR1000 haserl CGI Error
Hello!
I have an XR1000 that throws the following message when I try to log in to the admin page after rebooting the router.
haserl CGI Error
Failed to readline from 'config get DumaOS_Theme_Version'
Unfortunately I have to reboot the router quite frequently (once a week or so) due to the DNS issues that has been following me through every XR product I have had. The only thing I have been able to do to get around this is master reset the router. As you can imagine I'm not very excited to redo all my settings weekly.
So! Help?

- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerWhen does the error start to appear, is it after heavy usage, a reboot, settings changes etc? I see you have an Adblocker on the web browser, can you whitelist the interface please and see if that makes a difference?

It seems to have been happening for the past 2 months or so on every reboot.
The issue is the router stops serving IPs for my wireless devices every week or so, so I reboot the router. I noticed the issue when the Duma OS Android app wouldn't log in and just said Unknown Error Occurred. I then tried to log in via a browser and got the message. When this happens the only thing I have been able to do to get around this is reset the entire router using the pin hole then redo my entire setup. About a week later we repeat this process. (Side note, I'm getting really tired of these DNS issues) I have tried to reinstall the firmware via the browser. I looked at the TFTP process, but the directions say to look for an orange light, as far as I can tell my router doesn't have an orange light and I didn't want to make anything worse.
I disabled every plug-in in Edge Chromium and am still get the message. I removed the AdBlock and still get the message. I have tried it in Chrome, Edge Chromium, and Opera. To make sure it wasn't my computer, I pulled out my Windows laptop and my MacBook Pro and get the same thing.
- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerThe amber light is when you're doing the process, you won't see it at the start. I prefer this method, if you do it wrong then it just won't upload the firmware so it's perfectly fine to do - it can take a few tries sometimes to get the timing but I think in your case it's vital you do so https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

What firmware version are you currently running? Netgear released a new firmware for the XR1000 a few days ago, have you updated to that automatically? You can find it here if not: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/xr1000.aspx#Firmware%20Version%201.0.0.58
Please ensure you factory reset after the upgrade!
- patrickbedgoodApprenticeI ended up moving to the Tp Link Archer AX11000, best decision I ever made. You can reboot this router and don’t have to worry about config wipes

I just had this exact same issue happen to mine last night. I was downloading several steam games and browsing the internet then all of a sudden the internet went out. I attempted to log into my router and got this 'Failed to readline from 'config get DumaOS_Theme_Version'. Upon further research I rebooted the router via the Nighthawk app and now my router is completely reset. I was unable to log in with my set username/password and had to use admin/password. I ran through the initial setup like the day I got it. Now I am receiving the same error and can no longer log in. I am able to get in via http://192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm and everything is gone. I have an at home business on top of my wife and I both have jobs where we work from home and they are internet intensive. We also have an automated home which puts the connected devices close to 60. Whatever this bug is has completely ruined my sunday as I now have to attempt to reset ALL of my assigned IPs and all of my port forwarding.
How did all of this happen? Was is because I had auto update firmware on and it is too stupid to realize there was a lot of traffic but it updated anyway and the update had packet loss? Will a factory reset actually give me my router back where I can spend the 3 hours setting it all back up again? Is there anyone with Netgear or Duma that actually cares that there are customers leaving Netgear over this lack of bug fixing?
- Netduma-FraserNetDuma PartnerAuto Update usually occurs during the night so it would not impact people as much. If you're going to do a factory reset then I would suggest reupgrading the firmware using the TFTP method, this bypasses the boot process and any issues there then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible and see if that makes it more stable for you: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

Again with this error on a warranty replaced unit. This is beyond ridiculous. This is literally the 6th Netgear DumaOS router because they keep having issues.
After rebooting it, it decided to maser reset itself. Utter junk.
Run through setup. It seems to setup fine but doesn't detect an update, even though there is one Install update and now it does is say "Uncaught TypeError: $(...)[0].getApp is not a function." Seriously how does this keep getting worse?
