Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
What's the exact error message you're getting in-game when this occurs?
Have you tried connecting to the modem directly recently to see if it still occurs? I realise you said you didn't have this issue in the past but I'm just trying to work out if any recent changes/updates from Activision could of had an affect.

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
I have been getting the exact same. I have a Netgear Nighthawk CM1200 modem and Netgear Nighthawk R6900P router. I had been having the issue of disconnections from the Blizzard servers playing Call of Duty Cold War and World of Warcraft. I have checked my firmware version on my router and it says it is up to date. I have tried both wired and wireless connections and both still give me the disconnects. It only seems to be affecting the connections to Blizzard servers.
After many attempts to fix (each troubleshooting step taken I have to play one of the aforementioned games for 2 hours to test, so it takes time to test) I contacted my ISP and they said they didn't see any issues on their side, so I rented a modem/router from them. I connected my router to their modem and still got the disconnect, but when I connected wired directly to their router I no longer had the issue. I have had their modem/router for about 2 weeks now and have not had the issue.

Not really. This is the clue.

The R6900P is nothing like the XR300, which has its own DumaOS operating system. So any behaviour you see on your R6900P is unlikely to hit the XR300 and vice versa. So there is not much that @Netduma-Fraser or @Netduma-Liam can do to help you out.
Nor is there any sign that the other people with the same problem have a CM1200. You should visit the appropriate sections for your Netgear hardware. That's probably here:

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
Alright well then completely disregard what I have, I have a friend who has tried everything that I have and does have the XR300. He was able to find his old router from his ISP and used that and is not getting the issue. He has bouts of having no issue after doing a restart of the router some times, but I feel this is not a good long term fix.
He is also a streamer and the times he gets disconnected from the Blizzard servers there is no interruption in his stream.

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
Wanted to bump this to see if there was ever a solve. I have the same XR300 router and get disconnected every couple hours from the CoD server. Discord stays up, Stream stays up, I just get randomly dropped from ingame. I get the same Error code that OP attached in this post.
Could it be the router itself? Thinking about purchasing a xr500, but worried it could do the same?
I also tried all the steps that were given to OP.
Thanks.

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
Yes, i've tried all the steps provided to the OP.
The building i live in has google fiber in each unit, so the router is plugged directly into a ethernet port in the wall. I decided last night to plug my PC directly into the port instead of using the router, and had no issues with lagging out for 4 hours. Could it be a faulty device? I've had it for over little than a year and a half, but its been doing this since day 1. I've just always dealt with it.
Thanks.

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
Hi All
I am on PC and experienced these 'disconnected from server' every 2 hours -ish since the beginning of Warzone amongst many other of their Warzone glitches. Over many months (possibly a year) I have tried so many different declared fixes across the web with all being unsuccessfull....until now.
Happy to report I have now jammed Warzone 24 hours without one disconnection 🙂
I think I found a solution and this may work for many - not all. This disconnect from server error BLZBNTBGS000003F8 appears to have more than one cause for these disconnections, across the platforms. All evidence is pointing to their servers and program (Blizzard) etc
Here is what I tried previously:
1. Update all your PC software
2. Made sure Im always plugged in via Lan Cable
3. Port forwarded all ports according to Activision etc
https://support.activision.com/articles/ports-used-for-call-of-duty-games
4. Added ports and Warzone related programs into Firewall -inbound and outbound
5. I have always used Google DNS and made sure this was on my static IP
6. Manually updated my Router Software
7. Turned on Dynamic QoS (via router settings)
8. Downloaded EXITLAG program to see if this corrected the error. (This didn't work but I may have experienced better ping in-game :))
Here is my fix!
Step 1: Close your Blizzard Program/Launcher then proceed to delete the Battle.net folder
Step 2: Load Blizzard program and then log out and close the Blizzard Program
Step 3: Open Blizzard program and at the login - click the settings and change login region to Asia/America (where ever you are) ...then login!
Step 4: Once logged in, change region inside of blizzard program to Asia/America (if not already on the same)
Step 5: Load Warzone
Once Warzone has loaded switch back to the Blizzard Program and log out. Then close the Blizzard program while Warzone is running.
Go back to Warzone and Enjoy without being disconnected.
-Let me know how you go
I would like to state, Activision and any related party have NOT been helpful.

Re: XR300 Disconnects every 2 hours
Do you own your own place or rent?
Ive had a similar issue in an older place I rented. I went through ISP. router/s hours making changes to internal settings and even spoke with a few technicians who checked the connections from footpath and in house.
After 6 months and multiple complaints they eventually replaced the connection (in the house) and the instant disconnections and re-connections immediatly stopped - it was an older connection
This was random behaviour for the device and we still cannot explain how and why this occured. It was chalked down to the "older" connection points

Not so much "wired for DSL" as set up for DSL. The wires are the same. They come out of the back of the router and plug onto the modem, or whatever else you use to connect to the Internet.
If you have changed that "whatever" then you should reset the XR300 and set it up from scratch. It needs to forget any setting inherited from your DSL connection.
As this is a router, there is probably a modem sitting in front of it. You need to get the devices to forget any inherited settings. Among other things, that means rebooting the network.
Power cuts usually take out both the modem and the router on a network. When the power comes back on, they may start up in the wrong order, with the router starting before the modem is ready. That means that they get confused about which is in charge.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.
You have joined in on an existing conversation that started nine months ago. It may or may not have anything to do with your problems.
There is also a good chance that the official support team is busily monitoring new conversations and may miss your addition to this one.
If you do want help with your problem, check previous stuff that may be related then start your own discussion.
If you do decide to ask a question, you should provide more details and your own version of the information that the forum suggests that you provide. For example, as this is a router, it helps to know what modem you are using and the various things that you have tried to fix the problem.

I’ve been down that route to many times with this router and actually when I plugged in my router at my boys house I reset the router and restarted modem.
I couldn't tell that from your earlier messages,
It’s not anything else but this router. I plugged in my Orbit and it works fine. But that not the machine I want working. I want this machine to work like it’s supposed too. Even today after I reset it and placed it back in my house. It disconnected twice now.
Well worth starting your own discussion. If you haven't done so already That way the DumaOS people are more likely to see it. They are pretty quick to respond but may not keep up with old stuff.

When I bought my house it was wired for DSL. I never used DSL.
Why did you mention it then?
They don't "wire" houses for DSL. (Actually, ISPs and phone companies rarely wire a house for anything because they stop at the "front door".) They wire them for telephones. The DSL then uses the phone line, and is modem, for the Internet connection.
Cable can also use the telephone line and its own modem.
Don't let wiring of the house confuse you. Concentrate on the stuff that matters.
