XR300 Not connecting internet through phones

I just installed my XR300 and got it up and running and working with my laptop, But When I try to connect any smart phones thorugh it All I get is connected without internet. 

Need Help figuring out why I can connect to the internet through a laptop but not a smartphone.

Must be the XR is better at handling the devices in router mode, glad it's working!

Are the phones old or new or a mix? Does it happen on 2.4 & 5GHz?

It is on both an Note 20 Ultra and a galaxy s9 and it is both 2.4g and 5g frequency. 

It just kicked my laptop off and would not connect to the internet untill I reset the router and it was fine again.

What modem/gateway do you have it connected to?

The router it is connected to is an Att 5268ac (fxn)

did you put the ATT device in pass through/ modem only mode? 

Otherwise you're in a double nat.

You can also put the XR300 in ap (access point) mode but then you'd loose out on the benefits of the XR300 purpose.

The att router is currently set up as a nat with the xr300 in access point mode. Since I just set it up today. I want to put it in pass through but if I can keep my devices connected with internet I don't want to shut off my working wifi router.

If the XR is in AP mode then the ATT router is handing out the IP addresses to those devices not the XR. Do they show as connected to the ATT?

Yes. I can connect them to the att router with no problem and it is solid without interruption.

I mean because the XR is in AP mode the XR does not have any impact on the devices other than passing the connection on from the ATT. Therefore devices when connected to the AP should appear as though they are connected to the ATT when you access that interface, is that the case?

I agree but it won't pass the service through. It works off and on with my laptop now but I have to reset the router. The service light will stay lit white but my devices will say there is no internet connection until I reset the xr router while the att router will work fine.

If you have the XR so it isn't in AP mode do you still get this issue?

I just switched it off of ap mode yesterday and it seems to work fine now. Thank you.

I have no idea why It would do that?
