XR500 Blinking Red Internet LED

Router has been working fine. Get home and Internet LED is blinking red and lost router connection to Internet. Have tried cycling the modem, factory reset, nothing has worked. Internet works when wiring computer directly into modem, does not seem to be an outage or cable issue. Any suggestions?
  • what actual modem do you have? 

     

    Try this. 

    Power off both the modem and the router. disconnect everything from both (even coax from modem).

    Wait 2 minutes. 

    connect coax back to the modem. 

    power the modem on and wait 2 minutes. 

    connect the modem to the router. 

    power the router on and wait 2 minutes. 

    Try it then.

      The modem is an Arris Surfboard SB6190. The extra step of disconnecting the coax as well seems to have done the trick, thank you!

      I'm on V2.3.2.114 now. I was on 2.3.2.56 when the issue started. Do you recommend staying on the latest version?
