XR500 Won't Connect to Company VPN (GlobalProtect)

Netgear Community,

 

As the name implies, my XR500 won't connect to my company VPN of GlobalProtect. When trying to connect, GlobalProtect states: "Gateway access.XXXXXXXX.com: The network connection is unreachable or the gateway is unresponsive. Check the network connection and reconnect." I have tried to set up Port Forwarding utilizing 443 for TCP and 4501 for UDP to try and help with no success. When I connect to GlobalProtect using my Verizon Hotspot, I have zero issues. 

 

I am running v2.3.2.130

 

Any help you can provide sure would be appreciated.

  • Try the following:
    Set NAT to Open in WAN Settings
    Disable QoS completely from the Congestion Control 3 horizontal line icon menu
    If needed make a Traffic Controller rule to allow ALL traffic to the device
    Then see if it works.

      Thank you for the reply. I made all 3 changes, APPLY, and still no luck.

        Just for a test put the device in the DMZ and see if it works, either way then remove it as it is a security risk.

    what modem/gateway is the XR500 connected to?

      It is a fiber connection to a Zhone (Model #: 400-01539-03) that plugs directly into my XR500.
