Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

Having the same issue as everybody else!
The newest firmware causes my connection to drop every 20/30 seconds which causes me to get connection interrupted in games.
As soon as I change my firmware back to the original firmware the router came with all of the connection drop offs stop and I have a normal constant connection.
Is there a firmware that can help with this?
When is the firmware going to be updated?

I'd suggest you stay on the one you're using at the moment as its stable for you. The team are looking into it so I'm sure they'll provide a fix as soon as they can.

I’ve been told to post on here as there is a beta firmware that will fix the problems as well as having the new features that I’m missing?

Re: Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

Same issue but fix by purchasing a sfp modual connecting that to my virgin router , but I really shouldn’t be purchasing another bit of kit to get a £450 router to work on the latest firmware !!!!

Glad to hear that resolved your issue. It should be fixable by firmware, perhaps @Christian_R can help.

Re: Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

I have the latest firmware, version 1.0.1.8. As soon as I updated to this version, I immediately noticed my wireless connections (Nest cams, iPads, etc) were no longer working. I noticed my router was giving out 192.168.1.XXX IP addresses. Prior to the update, I was using my own 192.168.0.XXX IP addresses. After further trial and error, I came to the following conclusion that ensured all 60+ nodes on my home network were back online: I reset the router with the same firmware version (1.0.1.8) installed and utilized the default 182.168.1.XXX IP addresses. My router is set to DHCP server and it works flawlessly again. No static IPs were setup.

Re: Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

I am still having the same problem after updated to 1.0.1.10....

and it seems like it got disconnected more frequently than 1.0.1.8

I guess I will try to flash it to 1.0.0.20 for now...

Re: Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

Before I switch my router to XR700, I was using xr500 and everything was fine....
But before xr500... I use R9000 ....I think it had similar problem....WAN got disconnected randomly.... Does it have anything to do with the IP? Xr700 automatically switch my IP to 10.0.0.1 but I changed it to 192.168.0.1.... will it cause all these problems?

Re: Xr700 connection drop off / disconnects

maid that won't have caused the issue, that's a standard setting on the router.
