Configuration Error when updating WiFi credentials/settings

I am getting a Configuration Error when updating WiFi credentials/settings.

I've tried rebooting the router, checked for updates, and have deleted and redownloaded the mobile app.

At some point I was able to change the password, but have not been able to change the network name or Security Method, which I want to make WPA/WPA2-Personal.

Please advise.

They make USB to ethernet adapters that are cheap.

Connect the laptop to the SSID and PW of the router, then Log into the routers web page using Safari or Firefox browser at 192.168.1.1.

Use a wired PC and web browser to make the changes to the wifi settings on the router.

I don't have any wires that would connect my mac to the router.

And where would I go in my browser to update the WiFi settings?

Thanks. I was able login and update the setting in my browser without being wired.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
